Congratulations to Clean Air Champion Kristin Gauthier (Ottawa, ON) who won a gold medal at the Pan Am Games on Wednesday, October 26, 2011! Her team finished first in the K4 500 with a time of 1 minute 37.724 seconds. Her teammates included, Kathleen Fraser of Oakville, Ont., Alexa Irvin of Kentville, N.S., and Una Lounder of Dartmouth, N.S.
Congratulations Clean Air Champion Philippe Beaudry! He successfully defended his gold medal at the Pan Am Games on Wednesday, October 26, 2011. He defended his title with a 15-14 win over American Timothy Morehouse in the individual sabre final. It was Canada's second gold and eighth medal of the day.
Congratulations to CAC Paralympian Benoit Huot who was inducted into the Canadian Disability Hall of Fame on November 2, 2011. The Canadian Disability Hall of Fame is a project of the Canadian Foundation for Physically Disabled Persons that celebrates the achievements of people who have made this country a better place for people with a disabilities.

Kristina Groves Retires from Competitive Speed Skating
Miana Griffiths is a Clean Air Champion and in less than one month, she will be preparing to showcase her skills to the world at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadelajara, Mexico.

Congratulations to three Ottawa Clean Air Champions who were all winners at the 59th Ottawa Sport Awards on Wednesday, January 25th!
Kristin Gauthier won for Canoe/Kayak in the sprint division, John Hastings won for Canoe/Kayak in the whitewater division and Cody Sorensen won for Bobsled.
A well deserved recognition for all three of these fantastic athlete role models!
