If you haven't heard of the mobile app, CO2G0, you should check it out! The Senseable City Lab at MIT developed this fantastic app for your smartphone that calculates your carbon emissions in real-time while on the move. It does so by automatically detecting your mode of transportation while tracking the distance you have traveled.
And the capability of this app does not end there! Users can share their low carbon emission routes with other users, providing alternatives to regular routes. Users can also challenge each other in real-world game situations. And finally, the app informs users about calories burned, offering an insight into health issues while on the move.
Get more information and check out a short tutorial video here.
Just another great tool to add to the box promoting active transportation and personal health!
Note: This app may not be currently available for all types of Smartphone. From our research, we believe it's available on Android. If you can download this app and try it out, we'd love to hear from you! E-mail us at .
