Since starting teaching P.E. in 1996-97, I have first hand accounts of experiencing an increase in the number of students that were being diagnosed with asthma and were unable to participate fully with the class. As a result, the implications for these students quality of life is such that there are many social and health implications as a result of their inability to be fully involved in activity!
I am a secondary Physical Education teacher with a minor in Environmental Outdoor Education and feel that this might be a perfect fit for me. It is important to me that I am attempting to be as socially responsible for the world that I am borrowing from my children! Since 1996, I have first hand accounts of seeing the increase in the number of asthma related troubles in students that have troubles performing even short running which in turn has many impacts on their own quality of life
