This scenario is not that unusual, even in Canadian race locations. Our Champions put a personal face to very real and very serious issues that are affecting the health of all Canadians.
More than 190 high performance athletes make up the 'Champions' in Clean Air Champions. They include National Team, Olympic and Paralympic athletes from all across Canada. Approximately 30% suffer from respiratory illnesses like asthma, bronchitis, allergies, COPD and cystic fibrosis.
Our Champions are committed and passionate about spreading the word to help reduce air pollution and climate change, and promote more active, sustainable lifestyles.
