Why the environment is important to me:
The environment is important to me because I live within it. It provides me with food, water, air and shelter. I want to have the best of these. I also want others to have the best as well. Travelling with my sport has shown me areas of the world where the air burns your lungs, the water is not safe to drink and the food is full of toxins. Not only do I not want this to happen where I live, I also want to help encourage people to clean up areas that are not pristine.
Why I'm a Clean Air Champion:
The environment is of vital importance to everyone. Unfortunately, not everyone sees it the same way. Being a member of Clean Air Champions, I get to share my passion for sport and the environment. I am able to teach others how worthy the environment is of protection. I can also show them how they can begin to make a positive impact on the environment by choosing to be active. Being active keeps me healthy, vibrant, and feeling good about myself. It has given me the opportunity to travel and compete all around the world, and I even got the opportunity to represent Canada at the 1996 Olympics. Activity keeps life interesting, healthy and fun.

Career Highlights
Introducing Clayton Miller:
My athletic career highlight to date was representing Canada at the 1996 Olympic Games. I was the youngest competitor in the field and I achieved a personal best score. The sensation of representing Canada at the largest multi-sport games in the world was amazing. To be part of the pinnacle of amateur sport filled me with pride. This experience made me realize that there is more to sport than winning. Participation is just as important, if not more so.
Top performances:
Representing Canada at the 1996 Olympics
Winning Gold Medal at the 2002 Commonwealth Games
Winning World Cup Silver Medal at 1997 Atlanta World Cup
Being named athlete of year (2002) for Kelowna BC.
