Why the environment is important to me:
The majority of my training time is spent outside paddling on natural rivers. I enjoy the outdoors and hate to see the pollution that we as humans are causing to the environment. It's important for us to change our ways and pay attention to these issues so we may conserve what we have for the future generations.
Why I'm a Clean Air Champion:
We all need to be more aware of the air quality issues at hand. Scientific evidence is showing that air pollution is a major contributor to respiratory health problems and that our use of fossil fuels leads to global warming. It's important for me to do my part by reducing air pollution and green house gas emissions and to bring these issues to the attention of others.
