Sport:     Swimming - Synchro - solo, duet and team   Community:     Calgary, AB   Languages:     English   Why the environment is important to me:     The environment is important to me because there is nothing better than hiking in the mountains and breathing in that fresh air or swimming in an outdoor pool under the blue sky. I want to continue to do this for many years to come and I would like all young people to have the same opportunity.   Why I'm a Clean Air Champion:     As a synchronized swimmer I know how important a healthy set of lungs are, not only for how long you can hold your breath but also for a lifetime of healthy living. We all have control over the decisions we make around exercise and eating but we also have control over keeping our air clean. I want to motivate youth to take control over their health. 	Introducing Kirstin Normand:
		For the past 5 years Kirstin has been involved in corporate training, facilitation, health and wellness promotions and motivational speaking. She is also Vice President of Athletes Can, Spokesperson for the Canadian Gene Cure Foundation and President of the Alberta Chapter of Olympians Canada. Kirstin is currently working as a pharmaceutical sales representative for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals.
